Health claim approved by the French food authority, the Agence Française de Sécurité Sanitaire des Aliments
On April 6, 2004, the French food authority AFSSA (Agence Francaise de securite sanitaire des aliments) has approved a health claim that the North American cranberry Vaccinium Macrocarpon juice and powder can 'help reduce the adhesion of certain E.coli bacteria to the urinary tract walls'.
